Monwnews.com, Setiap kali pergantian Kapolri mendekat, bangsa ini digiring ke dalam pusaran opini: siapa ajudan presiden, siapa yang prestasi di lapangan, siapa yang restu faksi. Seolah-olah demokrasi hanya pasar malam narasi.
Hal ini disampaikan oleh Dodi Ilham, Pendiri Forum Komunikasi Senat Mahasiswa se-Jakarta ’98 (FKSMJ’98), pada Selasa (16/9/2025)
“Every time the National Police leadership is about to change, the nation is dragged into a whirlpool of opinions: who was the president’s aide, who had field achievements, who received factional blessings. As if democracy were nothing more than a night market of narratives.”, kata Dodi
Padahal menurut Dodi, Indonesia ini bukan negeri yang berdiri di atas opini, melainkan Negara Demokrasi Konstitusional. Hak prerogatif Presiden adalah amanat konstitusi, disertai mekanisme persetujuan DPR. Itu sudah final. Titik.
“Yet Indonesia is not a land built upon opinions, but a Constitutional Democracy. The President’s prerogative is a constitutional mandate, accompanied by the mechanism of DPR approval. That is final. Period”, ujarnya.
Dodi Berpendapat bahwa Demokrasi bukan sekadar gaduh memilih figur, tapi jalan menuju keadilan sosial bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia. Maka ukuran sejati bukan siapa yang duduk di kursi Kapolri, melainkan apakah Polri di bawah kepemimpinannya mampu melindungi bangsa, menegakkan hukum dengan adil, dan memberi rasa aman pada rakyat kecil.
“Democracy is not mere noise over personalities—it is the path toward social justice for all the people of Indonesia. The true measure is not who occupies the position of Police Chief, but whether under their leadership the Police can protect the nation, uphold the law fairly, and provide security for ordinary citizens”, tambahnya.
Jika narasi kita terus dipersempit jadi gosip politik, maka kita sedang mengkhianati tujuan demokrasi itu sendiri. Saatnya rakyat menagih bukan siapa orangnya, tetapi apa hasilnya. Keadilan sosial adalah kompas, konstitusi adalah pedang, dan Pancasila adalah cahayanya.
“If our narrative continues to be reduced to political gossip, then we are betraying the very purpose of democracy itself. It is time for the people to demand not who the person is, but what the outcome will be. Social justice is the compass, the Constitution is the sword, and Pancasila is the light”, pungkasnya.
